Operations Manager - Deployment
The Role
Greenjets is looking for a Deployment Operations Manager to plan and deliver flight trials, demonstrations and other operational activities worldwide.
You will turn flying requirements into practical deployment plans, coordinating the people, aircraft, equipment, facilities and logistics needed for safe and effective delivery. You will support local Flight Operations Managers or lead deployed operations directly where no local manager is in place.
Working across Flight Operations, Engineering and Programme teams, you will manage activities from initial planning through to on-site delivery and post-trial review. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can quickly establish teams and operations, often in unfamiliar locations and at short notice.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate global flight trials, demonstrations and ground-testing activities.
Develop deployment plans, schedules, resource requirements and contingencies.
Coordinate personnel, aircraft, equipment, facilities and supporting services.
Act as Trials Manager when required, leading the day-to-day activity on site.
Ensure teams are appropriately trained, briefed, equipped and operationally ready.
Coordinate the international movement of personnel, aircraft, equipment and dangerous goods.
Manage relationships with customers, partners, test sites and other external organisations.
Maintain deployment equipment, serviceability records and asset registers.
Produce trial plans, risk assessments, reports and lessons learned.
Manage operational risks and competing demands across multiple activities.
Ensure operations comply with company procedures and aviation safety requirements.
Share performance information and operational lessons with Engineering and Business Development.
About You
You will bring:
Significant experience supporting or delivering aviation operations.
Strong operational, logistical and resource-planning skills.
Experience moving personnel, equipment and dangerous goods.
The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in demanding environments.
Strong judgement and the confidence to operate independently.
The flexibility to respond effectively to short-notice requirements.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
A good understanding of aviation safety, risk management and human factors.
Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 20% of your time.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
Military aviation or comparable civilian aviation experience.
Uncrewed or remotely piloted aircraft experience.
Flight-test, ground-support or deployed-operations experience.
Experience working with ordnance, munitions or explosives.
Fixed-wing aviation experience.
GVC, Remote Pilot Competency Level 1 or an equivalent qualification.
